Before enrolling at IKWorx, Thabo worked in retail for six years. He was passionate about technology but lacked formal qualifications and practical experience. "I was stuck in a cycle of shift work, and I knew I was capable of so much more," he recalls.
Thabo enrolled in our Data Science with Python & Machine Learning course. Through hands-on projects — from data wrangling to building predictive models — he gained the confidence to apply for data analyst roles. Within three months of graduating, he landed a position at one of South Africa's largest banks.
Priya had a university degree in Information Technology, but she quickly discovered that her academic knowledge wasn't enough to land a job in the competitive cybersecurity field. "I had the theory, but I lacked practical, hands-on skills. I needed to bridge that gap," she explains.
She joined our Cybersecurity Professional with Ethical Hacking & SOC programme. The course provided her with access to virtual cyber ranges, live attack simulations, and real-world incident response scenarios. Within a month of graduating, she was hired as a Security Operations Center (SOC) Analyst at a major telecoms provider.
Sipho had been teaching himself to code for years, but he struggled to get his foot in the door without formal credentials or a professional network. "I knew I had the aptitude, but I needed validation and structure to take my career seriously," he says.
He enrolled in our Cloud Computing with AWS, Azure & GCP course. The comprehensive curriculum — covering infrastructure as code, containerisation, and multi-cloud strategies — gave him the edge he needed. Upon graduation, he was recruited by a fast-growing SaaS startup as a Cloud Support Engineer.
